The brief for Well Cottage was to take an existing application through the planning and construction processes and create a comfortable home for a retired couple on this sensitive rural site. Despite planning restrictions on footprint, the open plan layout, use of oak and glass creates a feeling of light and space throughout the house that belies its tight plan form.
