WIMLAND ROAD

This new-build home demonstrates how carefully considered design refinements can significantly enhance both functionality and long-term performance. By reconfiguring the internal layout, relocating the staircase and introducing additional glazing, we were able to improve circulation, maximise natural light and create more practical living spaces throughout the home.

Sustainability was a key driver behind the design. Although the original planning approval required Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, our clients chose to exceed this by targeting Level 4 through improved building performance and the integration of renewable technologies, including the potential use of a Ground Source Heat Pump.

The design also embraces Lifetime Homes principles, creating a flexible and accessible home that can adapt to the changing needs of its occupants well into the future.

A great example of how considered architectural design can improve the way a home performs.
